Just an initial note to say that Louie Prez is doing a gig on Sunday October 10th 2010 – Spring into gardening – in Malvern that starts at 1pm. Its an event put on by City of Stonnington in the park. Its free to attend, attracts about 5000 people. We’ll be doing a couple of sets on the stage. More details to follow.

On Saturday November 28th at 9pm Louie Prez will be launching SCAM in a global live streaming event, broadcast from the Dog Theatre in Footscray Australia. In conjunction with Digital Pill and supported by Maribyrnong City Council, the trio will present music from their new album. Come to the show and be part of the live audience or hear the band streamed into your lounge room via the internet. Lights camera action. Frank Woodley is going to MC for the night. We are doing a gig at the Suzuki Night market at the Victoria Market in Melbourne on Wednesday November 25th. There’s a couple of stages there and we are playing at the surround stage in the top shed in the middle of all of the food stalls. I’ve done a couple of gigs there over the last few years its great to have some food wander around or sit and listen to the band. If you want to see Ray you’ll have to come to the gig. Leo

Following on from the huge success of the gig at Harambe Restaurant in Footscray last year we are returning to do a trio gig – Ray and Leo with Bryan Karahasan on guitar. Sunday June 14th 3-6pm. Leo, Ray and Doug get together for a night of dry whit and minimalist groove at the Dancing Dog cnr Albert and Raleigh St Footscray. Maybe it will be chocolatey – well that’s what Phil called the sound of the album – chocolatey. Cost $15/$10 conc. We are doing a gig back at the Belgian Beer Cafe – Sunday 24th May, 3-6pm and free to attend. They are trying a new position for the stage and have set up a marquis with heating for the winter. Ray and Leo will be playing with Bryan Karahasan on guitar and Leigh Barker on bass.

Tour to Fairbridge Festival WA

We are off to Fairbridge Folk Festival Festival WA, our first tour with the new cd – SCAM. Ray, Leo and Doug are traveling over from Melbourne together with Valanga Khoza, so as well as the Louie Prez gigs we will also be doing some Zebra Crossing shows. Stack that up with workshops, kid’s shows, jams and general catch up with other musos from around the country and you end up with a lot of joy and not much sleep.
